こんな方を求めています
- 英語ネイティブで、日英翻訳者を目指されている方（米英豪等の国籍は問いません）
- チャット等で日中の連絡に滞りがない方
- 日本国内、または日本との時差が3時間程度の国にお住まいの方
- 多様な分野の翻訳に、柔軟性を持って対応できる方（専門性は特に求めません）
- CATツールの習得等を苦に思わない方

採用方法

We accept applications for freelance Japanese–English translators.
No previous industry experience is required.
Details are shown below; please feel free to contact us if you are interested.
The work involves:
- Translating Japanese materials into English
- Editorial revision of translations
- Checking/proofreading text written by others
The ideal candidate should be:
- A native English speaker (from any English-speaking country) with excellent writing skills, interested in working in translation
- A JLPT N2-level or higher speaker of Japanese
- Able to handle discussions and work feedback in Japanese (particularly in text chat) without difficulty
- In Japan, or at least able to work based on Japanese daytime work hours
- A flexible generalist, able to handle translation in a wide variety of fields
(expertise in a specialized field is preferred, but by no means required) - Willing to learn to use CAT (computer-assisted translation) software such as OmegaT
Pay is determined based on level of skill and experience.
Please note that applicants will be asked to perform a short trial translation.
